Immortality?

What is immortality?

1 Timothy 6:16 KJV
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen , nor can see : to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

1 Corinthians 15:53 KJV
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortalit

1 Corinthians 15:54 KJV
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written , Death is swallowed up in victory.

Romans 2:7 KJV
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

2 Timothy 1:10 KJV
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

John 4:14 KJV
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst ; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life.

Romans 6:22 KJV
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

I guess I am asking you why is immortality in the bible and giving the answer to realize the truth from Jehovah God and not from mans wisdom, but believe in his powers.

1Co 2:4-5
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

Romans 2:7 KJV
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

To me Romans 2:7 is Jehovah God's definition of eternal life.

More on Faith...

As I look and watch the world I realized that many people don’t understand the power of faith.  In the King James Version at Heb 11:1 “ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  The Greek word of faith:

pis'-tis
From G3982; persuasion, that is, credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly constancy in such profession; by extension the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself: - assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.
So what does this definition of faith say, one you believe, two you believe in God, three there is assurance and forth it has the power of persuasion.  So how do we exercise faith in something we have not seen?  Let’s take a look at some examples of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 8:5-10
“5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”

Luke 7:7-9
“7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.”

These two examples are the one same story of a roman shoulder asking Jesus to heal his servant.  My understanding of faith here is one believing in God, assurance, and persuasion.  It is the faith of the roman shoulder that his servant got healed, not by Jesus faith thought he did the healing.
Matthew 9:21-22
“21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.”
This is an example of the woman who knew if she could just touch Jesus clothes she would be healed.  Notice that Jesus says by her faith she was healed by, not by Jesus faith though he healed her.

Matthew 9:28-31
“28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.”
In this example a blind man gets healed.  Jesus says himself by the blind man’s faith he gets healed.  Then Jesus tell the man not to tell anyone, but the healed blind man tell everyone!

1 Corinthians 2:5
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”
Self explanatory.

What I would like you to get out of this is that faith is much more powerful than you think.  Jesus Christ has faith, you and I need to empower our faith.  Jesus Christ faith is strong; you and I need to strengthen our faith.  Notice much of what Jesus says in these examples, by our faith he healed, not by his faith.  With our empowered faith we can help others, strengthen our own faith more, give hope to ourselves as well as others who have little hope or faith.  When we give hope, faith, we give assurance, these acts of ours is what God acts on.  If you look for what is unnatural you will find and see faith with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, but if you don’t you will not see faith and its works.

Faith

Hello friends and family, I am sorry it has been so long since my last blog post, taking on-line college classes is very demanding.  I am studying Computers and Information Technology at Ivy Bridge College of Tiffin University.  I am taking my core classes to which makes it boring, right now English and Math, and then more English and Math, with that said I do now like English at all, but it seems to have its place in the world.

Back on track to my goal on my blog post, today I like to talk more on sin and hopefully give it more clarification to you.  Then I like to talk on faith and the same give clarity and up-building.

Jehovah is very serious about sin, lets look at Romans 6:23 -
KJV from SearchGodsWord - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
NWT - "For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord."
This shows us how serious God is about sin, if we sin we will die, and we do.  But we also see hope in this verse also.  As mentioned in a previous post sin is to miss the mark set by Gods standards.  If we look at a dicionary definition of bad we get "failing to reach an acceptable standard" from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bad.  If we fail to reach a standard, is that not the same as to miss the mark?  We failed or missed, to reach a standard or the mark!

But in the same verses we learn the gift of life is through Jesus Christ.  Jesus said we need the faith the size of a mustard seed in Matthew 17:20.
KJV from SearchGodsWord - "And Jesus said (5627) unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say (5719) unto you, If ye have (5725) faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say (5692) unto this mountain, Remove (5628) hence to yonder place; and it shall remove (5695); and nothing shall be impossible (5692) unto you."
NWT - "He said to them: “Because of YOUR little faith. For truly I say to YOU, If YOU have faith the size of a mustard grain, YOU will say to this mountain, ‘Transfer from here to there,’ and it will transfer, and nothing will be impossible for YOU."

If we have faith, that is things hoped for though things not seen (Hebrews 11:1), we can have hope in eternal life, can't we?  Going in to the orgin word of faith "peithō" (from SeachGodsWord.com) we learn it is calming, of course to believe and to persuade!  Our faith can persuade ourself and others to have hope and to believe and to calm each other all the time, weather in time of need or not.  Is this not a wonderful thought of faith?

Love and peace till next time, and keep choosing life.
