The meaning of the seeds that we will be talking about are both figurative and offspring, but the word in Hebrew ze´ra` and in Greek sper´ma, both translated “seed,” with the following uses in agricultural and botanical, physiological, and figurative for “offspring.” The thought of seed in Genesis 3:15 really has significance in Jehovah's Sacred Secret. It shows that enmity will develop between the two seeds and there will be a deliverer that will destroy Jehovah's enemy Satan the Devil.

The apostle John writes in 1 John 3:10-12 show who follow the pattern of the symbolic farther (Satan) are children, offspring or seeds of the serpent.
